Digital Display Unit
A New Zealand-based client selected Globex to develop their flagship 46” outdoor Digital Display unit, designed for markets in NZ, Australia, and the Middle East. They wanted to create a robust, modular screen capable of withstanding extreme weather, temperature fluctuations, and vandalism, all within a strict 6-month timeline to ensure a timely launch.
Globex partnered with the client to design a 46” outdoor Digital Display unit, delivering a turnkey solution within the 6-month timeline. The team created a slim, modular screen with an aluminium extrusion frame for rigidity and weatherproofing, incorporating an active cooling system using Peltier technology to manage thermal conditions and industrial-grade electronics for plug-and-play functionality.
The design also ensured resistance to vandalism and extreme weather, with a custom mounting podium system that met all building codes through collaboration with structural engineers. Globex oversaw all aspects of production, working with external suppliers, LCD screen manufacturers, and production processes, while validating tooling and managing the first run of displays.
